Engagement Session: Alain & Sunny {Chatham-Kent Engagement Photographer}

Sometimes when you meet a couple you can tell right away that they have what it takes to make their love last a lifetime.
It’s in the way they look at each other, they way they respect each other and the way they try to make the other person genuinely happy. I see that in Alain and Sunny… and there is no doubt about it!

I remember the day that Alain told me that he was going to ask Sunny to marry him. Although they have been together for many years, I could tell he was still nervous about asking! I recall slipping into daze with my chin-in-hand like a school girl as he told me the details of the very romantic proposal plan in one of the most beautiful places in Europe! I’m thrilled to announce that Sunny said YES! (Of course!!)

Congratulations to you both and THANK YOU so much for allowing me to have the honour of photographing your engagement session!

I know… it’s not April yet, but Patrick and Amy’s wedding is fast approaching! April 1st will be here before we know it! To kick off the countdown to their long awaited Australian wedding, we gave Amy a very traditional Canadian Bridal Shower. Apparently we do things a little differently in North America!

Amy’s mom and mother-in-law couldn’t be at the shower today, so I dedicate today’s blog posting these fine ladies.

Oh the power of photography and technology… I love it!
Awh… remember these images from their engagement session! So sweet! Ryenne, Jenn and Pauline put their creative talents together to make Amy’s shower bonnet!
Look out Gucci! We are onto something here!Love love love! The RM Girls! Me, Amy and Jenn Quinn was so kind to offer her country side home for the shower! The Cake was made by Pauline Goodal at Eve Chocolatier! Shh… don’t tell anyone!

So what’s the big news? What am I checking off my bucket list?
Veronica Lane Photography will be heading down under to celebrate with Amy & Patrick at their wedding just outside of Adelaide Australia. AUSTRALIA!!
I am so extremely honoured that they chose me do be their official wedding photographer! I would have planned to attend the wedding regardless, but this just makes it that much more fun!

We had a marathon engagement session this past Sunday. I can’t believe how many awesome photos I have of these two! They were so natural in front of the lens. They made my part in this SO easy!

Amy’s super hot side! Hmm… I wonder what she was saying!

I couldn’t decide which version of this photo I liked better.

She is sweet and delicate and he is outspoken (in the kindest way!) and quirky.
She is from the sunny beaches of Southern Australia, and he is from fresh (nearly arctic) country side of Canada… and they are both dear friends of mine.

On April 1st 2011, near Amy’s home town of Adelaide Australia, these two will prove that there is no ocean wide enough to stand in the way of true love!

I have heard some small details of their wedding plans already. I’m sure it can’t be the easiest undertaking to plan a wedding on the other side of the world, but with their chic style combined with the lush backdrop of the Glen Ewin Estate, it is with no doubt that their wedding photos could easily be displayed on the pages of Grace Ormande’s Wedding Style Magazine!

Maybe I should have taken up a career as a sniper! This was shot hand held (no tripod) while the ring was hanging in a tree outside in the wind!
Amy, please don’t cringe! That’s kiwi all over your diamond!

Today’s blog is dedicated to Ali & Brian, who begin the count down to their wedding day that will take place in a little over a month from now!
I have known Ali for almost two years, and for almost two years I have listened to her profess how much she can’t wait to marry Brian. She’s in love and when you are in love like that, its forever! I have full faith in their marriage and wish them all the best!

Let the count down begin! I can’t wait!
